Surpassing several other Asian locations such as Pedang, Binh Dong, and Narita, Phong Nha has been recognized as the region's most budget-friendly spring destination. This ranking was announced by the travel platform Agoda on March 18, with Phong Nha, Quang Binh, topping the list thanks to an average room rate of only 715,000 VND per night. This price makes it an ideal choice for travelers who enjoy nature and exploration.

The survey was based on an analysis of the top 20 destinations in each market, evaluating a total of 180 cities. The average price was calculated from room data booked in January or February 2025, with check-in dates ranging from April 1 to May 31.

In Vietnam, Phong Nha outshines other popular destinations, including Da Nang, Nha Trang, Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, Phu Quoc, Hoi An, Sapa, Ha Long, Da Lat, Hue, Phan Thiet, Ninh Binh, Vung Tau, Cat Ba, Quy Nhon, Can Tho, Dong Hoi, Hai Phong, and Mai Chau. Notably, in November 2024, Agoda ranked Da Lat as the top economical destination in Asia for the end of the year and the beginning of the new year.

Agoda highlighted Phong Nha as a paradise for nature lovers, featuring stunning caves and lush landscapes. Visitors can explore Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site, visit the world’s largest cave, relax on a boat along the Son River, or engage in activities like mountain climbing, cycling, and experiencing local culture.

Following Phong Nha on the list is Tirupati, India, with an average cost of around 860,000 VND per night, and Hat Yai, Thailand, with a rate of over one million VND per night. These destinations offer a rich blend of culture, cuisine, and nature, providing valuable experiences at reasonable prices. Other notable tourist spots, such as Narita and Binh Dong, appear on the list with prices ranging from 1.8 to 2 million VND per night.

According to representatives from Agoda, April and May are peak travel months in Asia, featuring numerous festivals like Japan's Golden Week and Thailand's water festival. As a result, tourists are actively seeking worthwhile travel experiences. Through these rankings, travelers can discover attractive destinations that come with economical costs.
